Freelance Projects That Deserve Highlights
Jan 4, 2024

Welcome to a sneak peek into my freelance endeavors, a side of my work that often goes unseen on my main portfolio. While my main focus revolves around branding, marketing, and web design, I also delve into the realms of animation, motion design, and digital 2D art.
In this blog post, I'm excited to showcase some of my smaller-scale projects that deserve recognition. These freelance ventures may not be as expansive as those featured in my main portfolio, but they are just as impactful and highlight my versatility as a creative professional.
Through this glimpse into my freelance work, I aim to offer insights into the diverse range of projects I've been involved in, beyond what's typically seen on my main portfolio. Let's dive in and explore the world of animation, experimental graphics, and digital art together!
Single / EP Covers
Over my freelance journey, I've had the pleasure of collaborating with numerous musicians, a passion of mine being to craft immersive visual narratives around their music. Below, you'll find a selection of single and album covers that I've had the privilege to work on, whether they're already out in the world or still awaiting release.
Marginalia Branding & Animation
As the visual designer at Marginalia Label - created by the worldwide producer and DJ Elif, I deliver high resolution animated work for social media and Youtube and create EP covers for releases on Spotify, Soundcloud, Beatport and press. I first created the Marginalia branding from 0 - 10 with the help of 3 other creatives.
To get to know the Marginalia Label, one must check out https://www.marginalialabel.com/ and https://www.instagram.com/marginalia.label first.
For short, Marginalia refers to the marks made in the margins of a book or other document. They may be scribbles, comments, glosses (annotations), critiques, doodles, drolleries, or illuminations. For that, we decided that drolleries are the main subject for Marginalia’s identity design. Frames, decorative initials and floral like small illustrations can be used as supportive design elements.
The results are a combination of colorful animated creatures blended in with doodles, writings and vintage press look. Take a look yourself of what I’ve been creating for Marginalia since September 2023.
BLÖBS
One day, I was bored and wanted to try something different. When I get into this feeling of boredom I tend to turn to creation mode. Not just any creation though, I like to experiment with techniques and mediums that are unfamiliar to me so it is more entertaining. So I created BLÖBs. They are forever looping abstract animations that resemble breathing unfamiliar creatures. BLÖBs in NYC Subway Station - Project by Artsy.net x Vellum LA
As the creator of the BLÖBs project my initial goal was to experiment. It suddenly became a huge project backed by Artsy.net and Vellum Gallery in Los Angeles. They were also blasted on the NYC subways. These could be excellent for music visuals too. Whether it’s a music release cover, a beat synced release announcement video or background video for performing. I had some DJ friends buy some of these from me to use them as forever looping background visuals while performing on big stages.
